I had an amazing time speaking at WE Local Tampa February 15 and 16, 2019! This was my first conference where I was a presenter. I helped the Leadership Coaching Committee (LCC) present and facilitate two modules to participants. A fellow coach, Chhavi, did a great job summing up the conference in this article!

Engineers Week is an international celebration of engineers across the globe. For E-Week 2019, I collaborated with the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University College of Engineering to develop science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) outreach activities for local fourth and fifth-grade students. At the end of the week, approximately 700 students had participated in the activities!
I had the immense pleasure to create and lead science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) outreach modules for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU). While leading all six modules, I was able to represent the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). In the end, approximately 700 fourth and fifth grade students were engaged in the modules.
This was such a fun outreach event to complete! The Society of Women Engineers at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University had the amazing chance to teach kids all about chemical reactions, products, and reactants through some "Witch's Brew". The students were from Cypress Creak Elementary's after school Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) program. It was a great way to have a little Halloween fun and learning!
Sometimes it can be hard to understand how to be a successful collegiate leader for SWE while you are still in college! A few prior collegiate leaders and myself put together an article for the Leadership Coaching Committee (LCC) highlighting some ways that you can do just that!
As president and lead of the Introduce a Girl to Engineering Workshop (IGEW), I planned, coordinated, and executed an all day, free-workshop for elementary students alongside my three committee members. Five modules were developed that focused on various types of engineering. Attended by 218 participants and 45 volunteers, with over 50% participants being Title I students, this was the largest IGEW to date since the creation of the event at Embry-Riddle.

This wonderful article was written by News Daytona Beach. Thank you for featuring our event! While in Denver, Colorado for the 2017 US Solar Decathlon, I had the amazing opportunity to present The BEACH House live on Facebook! I took the US Department of Energy throughout the house, explaining the details, inspirations, and showing the love the team had for the home. I am so proud and honored to have been the team member to present our house!
